Taylor Lautner
Taylor was born Taylor Daniel Lautner on February 11, 1992 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. His mother, Deborah, works in a software development company and his father, Daniel, works as a commercial airline pilot.
At an early age, Taylor began to learn Karate and quickly started to win many tournaments. At eight years old, he competed at the World Karate Association, won three gold medals, and became the Junior World Forms and Weapons champion. Within a few years, Taylor Lautner was ranked number one in multiple forms of Karate and had won three Junior World Championships.
Taylor, after unsuccessfully auditioning for a Burger King commercial, wanted to try out acting. A couple years later Taylor and his family made the move to Los Angeles and his acting career started to blossom. He had TV appearances on Shadow Fury, The Bernie Mac Show, My Wife and Kids, and Summerland. On top of acting, he also had voice-over work on Danny Phantom, What’s New, Scooby-Doo?, and He’s a Bully, Charlie Brown. In 2005, Taylor finally made it to the big screen with his role as Shark Boy in The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D. Soon after he scored a role in Cheaper by the Dozen 2.
Landing the role of Jacob Black, in the movie Twilight, launched him into superstar status. Continuing his role as Jacob for the Twilight sequels, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, Taylor packed on pounds of muscle to his already sculpted physique. Now a star and Hollywood’s highest paid teen actor in 2010, Taylor’s movie career is in full gear and can be seen in the movies Northern Lights, Max Steel, and Cancun.
